Workin on a granny square blanket

I started working on this portable project while I was away on business. It's going to be a seven color granny square blanket.

Find the pattern that I am using here: Jo-Ann 8 Color Afghan
I am just changing mine for use with 7 colors. But the square pattern is the same.

Here are some photos:

Granny Sqaure Blanket - WIP 6 of 30

Started this while on my business trip. Easily portable and can finish one square or two in one sitting. So it's perfect for winding down at the hotel. This will be for sale soon in my Etsy Shop: AntiJolly.

#crochetmoodblanket2014 - 2nd Friday - not as planned, that's for sure

So, last week I realized that I was making a huge mistake reading the chevron pattern and ended up with a wonky looking edge.  That made me cut my yarn and start with a new plan.  Maybe a plan that would allow me to more control the colors to make this something that I will love to see and use!

Here is my new color plan: (I have room for one more if I need it)

This however has set me back.  Today I should be on day 10 but I am on day 5 trying to catch up instead.  Not at all discouraged since this new blanket is by far better then the last:

Here is what my colors represent so far:

Row 1 - Country Blue - New Beginning - Happy New Year
Row 2 - Soft Blue -Happy - busy and productive day
Row 3 - Pagoda - Creative - finished the Olaf Hat
Row 4 - Forest Floor - Moody - visit to family with the little in a house that has a lot of breakables
Row 5 - Forest Floor - Moody - up and down moods

The Ribbon Beanie - new pattern by me! Yay!

I did this completely by accident.  I don't know if this stitch pattern has a name... if you know it can you share with me?... but I like it!

I am gonna call it the Ribbon Beanie.  Made this for my sister and can't wait to hear how her giftee likes it.  My baby girl can't help but to test all the hats. It's so exciting to her.

Very Bright Colored Twisted Beanie Hat

Finished this one up on New Years Day - I guess that means that I will have a year full of crochet projects.  That is just fine with me.  It's a Twisted Beanie in Yellow, Orange, Red, Brown and Blue.  My son picked the colors and the photos do not do it justice.  Take a look back at some of the other Twisted Beanies I have done here: TWISTED.  If you would like to order one in a size and colors that suit you please feel free to contact me here by commenting on the blog or just visit my Etsy Store here: ANTIJOLLY.

Got One row done tonight. I started with white for a clean slate for the New Year. The goal is to do one row everyday in a color that reminds you of your mood for the day. At the end you have a beautiful Calendar of your year that will keep you warm forever!

I can't believe how many people are getting in on this and is so cool that people are doing two or more for their loved ones so they can have matching blankets.  Very cool to be a part of it!
